Last.fm has released v.1.6.5 for Android!

You can find it in the usual Location!

Since Version 1.6.0 the original last.fm apk wont let you stream music from counties which arent approved yet.

Nick (from the comments) has kindly patched the latest version (1.6.5) to allow playback from countries yet unapproved by last.fm.

A big THANKS to Nick and everyone else who gave Feedback on the Status of the recent releases.

How to build a clean & perfectly tagged Music Library

There is a great way to build up an organized Library of a lot Music in a relatively short period of time, and the best part about it is…it takes almost no works and is fairly simple. I recommend you use this on some old computer which can run 24/7. We’ll basically be ripping the Streams that play on Last.FM. This isn’t just another Stream Ripper Programs which records a pre defined Stream. You can chose by Genre, Artist or Album. It will neatly name and organize all your downloaded mp3′s and avoid duplicates.

First, you’ll have to create a few Last.Fm accounts (They’re FREE). I recommend 2 for the beginning.

After you’ve gotten yourself the Accounts, go over to xscDevBlog and Download the latest Version on LastSharp(currently 0.4.4).

Adjust the your Settings as seen in the Screenshots below.

Dont forget to put you Last.Fm Login Data, and hit Login. After Logging in, take a look at the “Tune In” field on the right. Select “Tag” and put in a desired Music Genre. Alternative, Indie, Punk, Ska, Pop, Charts, whatever… .Now give the “Go” button a good hit and wait for a Playlist to load below, which can take up to a 15 seconds or so. Last thing you have to do, is right click on any of the tracks on the right, and click download. Thats it. Now its going to download one track after the other in that Genre. Once your familiar with it, you can click on the green plus on the top left and open another Instance of the Tool, and you’ll be downloading twice the amount…obviously. Remember that you need to log in with a different Last.FM account for each running Instance.

The Pirate Bay…going downhill…..FAST

In just under3 Days “The Pirate Bay’s” announcement to go legal by getting taken over by Swedish Firm caused lots of users to have their accounts deleted. By now, over 3500 users requested their account deletion. Kind of unusual to see considering that in the past you just saw the userbase increasing by the thousands each week. Would be interesting to see the ratio of users who sign up, compared to the ones who get their account deleted. Im sure there are still tons of people signing up now, in reflect of all the media attention they have gotten lately.

Microsoft releases Windows Vista Service Pack 2

Microsoft has just relased SP2 for Vista…way to late imho.

Some of the major spotlights of the release include:

Event logging support in SPC
Fixes for DRM issues from WMP upgrades
Windows Vista Feature Pack for Wireless
Functionality to reduce resources required for sidebar gadgets
Improved power settings for Windows Server 2008

After all, Hyper-V was not included in this Serice Pack.

Today Microsoft has confirmed the System requirements for the upcoming version of Windows (7), which is to be released later on this year. An RC build has just been made available to MSDN and Technet Subscribers.

sipdroid – REAL VoIP for the Google Android

Unlike the other supposed VoIP clients for the Google Android, sipdroid does NOT use you minutes when you make/receive calls. This much anticipated app will definitely get a lot off attention, so lets hope it keeps up to the hype.
