When stopping a cab, it will 99.9% be a Lada. With Ladas that are 20+ years old, you will most likely have troubles getting the door open. While you try pulling like crazy, the driver will lean over to the back seat and open the back door for you tell him your location. Now in a normal car, they would just push the button and open the window. Next you tell them where you would like to go. You need an address. If you just say "CsMarshal", they probably wont know where my house is. We tried. So after telling them your address you will hear "Sadiz", meaning sit down. Now DO NOT sit down. Be a jew and get the lowest price possible. Say 100 tenge. Then he’ll be like…nah, thats too little, gas is so expensive, my brother needs an operation, and basicially he just wants more. Next…you look around for a second, scartch your head and raise it to 150 tenge. Say it in a voice like your making a big exception and are sacraficing a lot. He will still insist that 150 is too little. Now, your not gonna got to 200 are you? NO! NO WAY! Use yout acting skills. But watch out, dont loose your face while doing this, because the cab drivers are damn good at this as well. What YOU will do: Say, Nah, thats too much ill get another car. Close the door determined and take a slowly start walking back behind the car and stick your hand out. DO NOT LOOK BACK AT THE CAR! Pretend it doesnt exist. What the cab Driver wil do: Put in 1st gear, and very slowly start driving. He will look in the back mirror and see how determined you are to get another cab. He’ll stop, honk, reverse and open the door for you again and say"Lada. 150 poechali" (Fine, 150, lets go). So there, you saved 50 tenge. You do that 3 times and you can buy a pack of cigarettes from your saving.

Another thing not to do, especially when your german. DO NOT TELL THEM YOU ARE FROM GERMANY! If you do you will regret it because you will be hearing a speech about every single one of their family members and how they bought a car in germany, drove it here, and sold it for $1000 more than they bought. Now, like today there are asshole that actually go as far that insists that you ask your friends, family, relatived back in germany to buy a car and send it here and he will pay you.
